Using UTM parameters

UTM parameters are a common way to keep track of where visitors to your website originated. When you append UTM parameters to the query string of a SavvyCal scheduling link, we'll automatically store those parameters in the metadata field on the event.

You can access event metadata in a few different ways:

  1. Webhooks. If you have a custom integration where you are listening for webhooks, you can access event metadata in the payload.
  2. REST API. When you query our API for events, you can find the metadata in the event resource.
  3. Zapier. You can find the UTM params under the name "UTM Source", "UTM Campaign", etc. when configuring an action in Zapier that's triggered by SavvyCal.
