Using UTM parameters
UTM parameters are a common way to keep track of where visitors to your website originated. When you append UTM parameters to the query string of a SavvyCal scheduling link, we'll automatically store those parameters in the metadata
field on the event.
You can access event metadata in a few different ways:
- Webhooks. If you have a custom integration where you are listening for webhooks, you can access event metadata in the payload.
- REST API. When you query our API for events, you can find the metadata in the event resource.
- Zapier. You can find the UTM params under the name "UTM Source", "UTM Campaign", etc. when configuring an action in Zapier that's triggered by SavvyCal.
