Integrating with Kit

The Kit integration allows you to send scheduler data to your Kit account anytime someone uses your scheduling links. You can optionally apply tags and map form fields to custom fields to enable powerful automations in your Kit account. Let's dive in!

Connecting your Kit account to SavvyCal

To connect Kit, head to your SavvyCal Integrations, scroll to Automation, and click the + button on Kit.

Follow the prompts to authorize your account. You're now ready to start configuring your links!

Configuring a link to sync with Kit

On your scheduling link editor, click the Automation section in the sidebar, then click Add an integration and select Kit.

Once you've connected your account, click on the integration to see all the available settings.

You may choose to apply one or more tags from your Kit account to subscribers. (Head to your Kit account to add more tag options, and then refresh the page in SavvyCal to see your new tags in the dropdown).

You may also configure field mappings between SavvyCal and Kit. Click + Add a field to get started.

If you'd like to simply pass through a SavvyCal form field to a Kit field, choose Form field for "What data would you like to set?" and then select the desired fields.

Setting custom data in Kit

If you'd like to set custom data in your Kit fields, choose the Custom option for "What data would you like to set?".

In this example, we are using Liquid shortcodes to set the "Scheduled At" field in Kit to be the start time of the newly-scheduled event. You can use one or more Liquid shortcodes to build complex field values.

The sky's the limit on what you can accomplish using Liquid! Feel free to reach out to support if you need a hand.

Requiring opt-in for marketing emails

If you are not already gathering consent from your schedulers elsewhere but you plan to send a marketing email, it's a good idea to add an opt-in checkbox to your booking form. To enable this, toggle on the Require opt-in on the booking page option and set the opt-in message to your preferences.

When required opt-in is enabled, we'll only send scheduler information to Kit if they opt-in on the booking page.

Embedding availability in your Kit emails

If you'd like to share your scheduling links with a live visual preview of your upcoming availability, you can install the SavvyCal plugin for Kit. To get started, head to App Store and click "Install" on the SavvyCal app.

This will ask you to grant Kit access to your SavvyCal account. Once connected, you can now use the /savvycal shortcut when composing an email to add a SavvyCal block.

From there, you can configure which link you'd like to insert and a few customizations, like the primary color, button font, and call-to-action button text. The image will show a real-time preview of your upcoming availability! For example, if someone views your email 1 hour after you send it and some of the slots are now taken, we'll automatically exclude those now-taken slots from the preview and show fresh ones.
