Custom domains
SavvyCal links, profile pages, and meeting polls are hosted on savvycal.com by default. If you're looking for a more white-labeled feel, the custom domains feature in SavvyCal gives you the ability to host your scheduling links, profiles, and polls on your own custom domain (e.g., booking.example.com/noah/chat
).
This feature is available on the SavvyCal Premium plan.
Adding a custom domain
To add custom domain to your SavvyCal account, head to your Settings and scroll down to "Custom Domains", and click Add a custom domain.
You'll want to point a subdomain (e.g. meet.example.com) to SavvyCal, not your bare domain (e.g. example.com, since this is where your actual website is hosted).
Configuring your DNS settings
The precise steps for doing this varies depending on where your domain is registered and where your DNS is hosted (sometimes they are two different places). But essentially, you'll need to add a CNAME record to your DNS pointing to SavvyCal.
The Record Name should be the subdomain where you want serve your links. For example, if you want to serve them at meet.example.com
, then you'd create a CNAME for the meet
subdomain pointing to custom.savvycal.com
in your DNS settings.
Type | Record Name | Record Value | TTL |
---|---|---|---|
CNAME | meet or meet. |
custom.savvycal.com |
Auto |
You may need to include a trailing "." at the end of your subdomain when creating your CNAME record (e.g. meet. instead of meet).
Once we confirm your DNS settings are all in place, we'll activate the domain in your SavvyCal account so you can start using it!
Assigning a custom domain to individuals and teams
Once your DNS settings are confirmed, you'll be able to assign the domain to individual users and teams that belong to your organization. To do this, click the toggle next to person or team:
From there, you can either assign this scope to a subdirectory (e.g. example.com/derrick) or to the root domain (e.g. example.com).
Only one individual or team can be assigned to the root domain, so you will usually want to assign it to a team that represents your company, rather than a single person.
That's it! Now, when you copy the URL for your scheduling links, we'll use your configured custom domain in the URL.
Your links will continue to work with their original savvycal.com URL, so you don't need to worry if you've already shared those URLs!
