Billing

Managing your subscription

You manage your subscription from Settings > Billing (savvycal.com/billing). The Plan section shows your plan, seat count, and renewal date. Manage my subscription opens your billing portal, where you cancel, update your payment method, and see past invoices. Change plan lets you switch plans or billing periods.

Only the owner and admins of an organization can see the Plan section. If you're a member and need to make a change, ask an owner or admin. If you belong to more than one organization, choose the one you want from the organization menu at the top of the Billing page.

How do I cancel my subscription?

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Manage my subscription.
  3. Cancel your subscription in the billing portal.

Your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period, and you won't be charged again. Until then, the Billing page shows Cancels on and the date it ends. After that date, your account moves to the Free plan (see what happens to your links).

Changed your mind before that date? Open Manage my subscription again to renew it.

On an annual plan, we email the organization's owner a reminder before the subscription renews, so you have a chance to cancel first.

Canceling your subscription doesn't delete your account. You can still log in, use meeting polls, and overlay your calendar on other people's scheduling links for free.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Every plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee. Email support@savvycal.com within 30 days of your first payment, and we'll give you a full refund, no questions asked.

If you were charged for a renewal you didn't want, email us and we'll take a look.

Does deleting my account stop billing?

Yes. If you own an organization, deleting your account cancels its subscription right away, instead of at the end of the billing period. If you're a member of someone else's organization, deleting your account removes you from it, and their seat count goes down.

If you own an organization with other members, deleting your account cancels the subscription for everyone in it, and all of their links stop taking bookings. To keep the organization going, transfer ownership first: in the Members section of the Billing page, open the menu next to a member and choose Transfer ownership.

To keep your account and only stop paying, cancel your subscription instead. See Deleting your account for how to delete it.

I can't log in. How do I cancel?

Email support@savvycal.com, ideally from the email address on your SavvyCal account, and ask us to cancel. We'll cancel your subscription for you.

How do I change plans or switch between monthly and annual billing?

Use Change plan on the Billing page:

  1. Choose Monthly or Annual at the top of the plan cards.
  2. Click the button on the plan you want: Upgrade to Premium, Switch to Basic, Switch to annual, or Switch to monthly.
  3. Review the change in the billing portal and confirm it.

Your seat count stays the same when you change plans. Each card shows the total you'd be billed for your current seats. Annual billing gives you two months free. For current prices, see Plans and pricing.

Everyone in an organization is on the same plan, so you can't mix Basic and Premium seats.

If your subscription is on an older or custom price, the Change plan options don't appear. Email support@savvycal.com and we'll switch it for you.

When is a seat added or removed?

You pay for one seat per member of your organization. The Members section of the Billing page shows how many seats are used.

  • A seat is added when someone accepts an invitation to your organization or to one of its teams. Pending invitations don't count until they're accepted.
  • A seat is removed when someone leaves the organization. Removing someone from a team doesn't free their seat, because they're still a member of the organization.

To remove someone, open the menu next to their name under Members, choose Remove, then click Remove from organization. This also removes them from every team in the organization. Team links they organized are transferred to the organization's owner.

We sync your seat count with your subscription once a day, so a change can take up to 24 hours to show under Manage my subscription.

How seat changes are billed:

  • Monthly plans: added and removed seats are prorated on your next invoice.
  • Annual plans: added seats are charged right away for the rest of your billing year. Removed seats become a prorated credit on your next invoice.

For more on members and teams, see How organizations work and Setting up a team.

Where can I find invoices and receipts?

Click Manage my subscription on the Billing page to see your past invoices in the billing portal. If your subscription has been canceled, the button is called Billing history.

You can add a tax ID, such as a VAT number, and your company name and address when you check out. To change these details later, open Manage my subscription and update your billing information.

What happens if a payment fails?

The Billing page shows a Past Due label and the message "We couldn't charge your payment method." Your paid features keep working while the payment is past due.

To fix it, click Manage my subscription and update your payment method.

We retry the charge a few times. If it still can't be collected, your subscription is canceled and your links stop taking bookings. See what happens to your links.

When a subscription ends, everyone in the organization moves to the Free plan:

  • Your links are deactivated. Active links switch to Pending, and people can't book them. Each link shows an Upgrade to activate button.
  • Your data is kept. Your links, settings, and event history stay in your account, as long as you don't delete it.
  • Premium features turn off, including custom domains, removing SavvyCal branding, and delegated access.
  • Free features keep working, like meeting polls and overlaying your calendar on other people's links.

To come back, go to Settings > Billing, pick a plan under Choose a plan, and click Reactivate Basic or Reactivate Premium. You're billed for the seats in use, and your pending links are activated again automatically.
