Your profile page
Your profile page is the page at your username, like savvycal.com/your-username. It shows your name, avatar, and a short description on one side, and a card for each scheduling link you've chosen to show on the other. Schedulers click a card to open that link's booking page. Every team has its own profile page at its team URL too.
New links don't show up on your profile page until you add them. To open your profile page, go to Scheduling Links and click the URL under your name, or click Edit profile next to it.
What's on my profile page?
- Your name, avatar, and banner image. The avatar and banner come from your branding. See customizing your branding.
- A description, location, and websites, if you've added them. See how do I edit my name and description.
- A card for each visible link. Each card shows the link's title, its description, its duration (or "Multiple" when it offers more than one), and its price if it takes payment.
- "Scheduling by SavvyCal" at the bottom, unless you've hidden SavvyCal branding on the Premium plan. See how do I remove SavvyCal branding?
The page uses your primary color, accent color, and theme. See customizing your branding.
Which links show up?
Only the links you've chosen to show, and only while they're active:
| Link status | On your profile page? |
|---|---|
| Active, and chosen to show | Yes |
| Active, but not chosen to show | No. The link still works for anyone who has its URL. |
| Disabled | No |
| Pending | No |
| Archived | No |
| Deleted | No |
A few things to know:
- Turning a link back on brings it back. If you choose to show a disabled or pending link, it appears once it's active again. An archived link you'd chosen to show reappears when you reactivate it.
- Single-use links show up like any other link, if you choose to show them. After someone books one, it's archived, so it drops off your profile page. See single-use links.
- Copies are hidden. When you duplicate a link, the copy isn't shown, even if the original is. See duplicating and renaming links.
On the Scheduling Links page, an eye icon next to a link means it's showing on your profile page.
If no links are showing, the page says "There are no active scheduling links at this time."
How do I choose which links are visible?
- Open your profile page while signed in.
- Click Customize visible links.
- Select the links you want to show, and unselect the ones you want to hide. You can search by name.
- Click Save settings.
The list includes your active, pending, and disabled links. Archived links aren't in it.
How do I change the order of my links?
On your profile page, drag a link card by its handle to a new spot. The new order is saved right away.
Until you reorder them, links are sorted by title. A link you show after reordering usually lands at the top, so drag it where you want it.
How do I edit my name and description?
- Open your profile page while signed in.
- Click Edit settings under your name.
- Change any of these:
- Display Name, the name at the top of the page.
- URL, your username or team URL. Click the pencil icon next to it. See what happens when I change my username or team URL.
- Description, a short bio. Line breaks are kept.
- Location, shown with a map pin.
- Websites. Click Add a website and enter a URL. Drag them to reorder, or click the X to remove one. X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and GitHub links get their own icon.
- Click Save settings.
You can also change your avatar here by clicking it.
On your personal profile page, the name comes from the First Name and Last Name under Settings > Profile. Change it there, since a Display Name you set here can be replaced by your account name.
Can I hide my profile page?
Not entirely. The page is always there while you're on a paid plan, but you can choose not to show any links on it. Open Customize visible links, unselect every link, and click Save settings. Your links keep working for anyone who has their URLs.
Can my username go straight to one link?
No. Visiting your username always opens your profile page, not one of your links. To send people straight to a booking page, share that link's own URL.
Who can see my profile page?
Anyone with the URL, as long as the username or team is on a paid plan. On the Free plan, or after a subscription is canceled, visitors see "Whoops, this page was not found." You, and anyone who can edit the profile page, can still open it. See plans and pricing.
How do team profile pages work?
A team's profile page works the same way, at the team's URL. It shows the team's name, avatar, banner, colors, and the team links chosen to show. See setting up a team.
What each person can do on a team's profile page:
| Team owners and admins | Team members | |
|---|---|---|
| Reorder links | Yes | Yes |
| Choose which links are visible | Yes | Links they're on |
| Edit the name, URL, description, location, and websites | Yes | No |
| Change the team's Branding | Yes | No |
Organization owners and admins can do everything a team owner can. Team owners and admins also see a Manage team button at the top of the page, which opens the team's settings. See team and organization roles.
Organization owners and admins can also edit the profile pages of members' personal usernames, because those usernames belong to the organization.
Does my profile page work on a custom domain?
Yes. When you assign your username or a team to a custom domain, its profile page is on that domain too:
- Assigned to a subdirectory, the profile page is at that path, like
booking.example.com/your-username. - Assigned to the root domain, the profile page is at the domain itself, like
booking.example.com.
The profile URL SavvyCal shows you, and the link cards on the page, use your custom domain. Your savvycal.com profile URL keeps working too.
Does my profile page show up in search engines?
No. Profile pages ask search engines not to index them, and you can't change that.
When you share your profile URL in an app that shows link previews, the preview image shows your name, avatar, and description.
