Your account settings

Click Settings in the sidebar to open your account settings. Settings has five tabs: Profile, Links, Integrations, Billing, and Developers. Your personal details, like your name, avatar, time format, start of week, and theme, are on the Profile tab.

What's on each Settings tab?

TabWhat it covers
ProfileYour name, avatar, username, time format, start of week, theme, time zone, delegated access, email addresses, password, custom domains, sender profiles, and deleting your account.
LinksDefaults for new scheduling links: calendar, location, calendar reminders, booking notifications, branding, default view, buffers, start time increments, and frequency limits. See default settings for new links.
IntegrationsConferencing, calendars, automation (Slack, Close, Kit, HubSpot, webhooks, and Zapier), connected AI apps, payments, analytics, and browser extensions. See integrations.
BillingYour plan, seats, and invoices. See managing your subscription.
DevelopersPersonal tokens and OAuth applications for the SavvyCal API. See authentication.

What's on the Profile tab?

The Profile tab has these sections, from top to bottom:

How do I save my changes?

It depends on the setting:

  • First Name, Last Name, Time Format, Start of Week, and Theme are saved when you click Save at the bottom of the Profile section. You'll see "Settings saved."
  • Avatar and My URL each open their own window, and are saved when you click Save there.
  • Time Zone is saved as soon as you pick a new one.

How do I change my name?

  1. Go to Settings > Profile.
  2. Update First Name and Last Name.
  3. Click Save.

Both fields are required. Each one can be up to 20 characters, and can't include numbers or the characters : / < > $. If a name breaks one of these rules, you'll see an error under the field and nothing is saved.

Where does my name show up?

Your name is how you appear across SavvyCal:

  • On your booking pages, above the link's name. You can hide it on a link by turning off Show the organizer's name in Booking Page Options. See what schedulers see on your booking page.
  • On your profile page, the page at your username URL that lists your links.
  • In emails to schedulers, as the sender's name.
  • In calendar event titles, depending on the link's event name. See customizing event names.
  • Inside SavvyCal, wherever teammates see you, like a team's member list.

Meetings that are already booked keep the name you had when they were booked.

How do I change my avatar?

  1. Go to Settings > Profile.
  2. Click your avatar, under Avatar on the right side of the Profile section.
  3. In Upload an avatar, choose an image and use the slider to zoom in.
  4. Click Save.

If you haven't uploaded an avatar, SavvyCal uses your Gravatar, if you have one. There's no button to remove an avatar after you upload one, but you can replace it with a new image at any time.

Your avatar shows on your booking pages and profile page, and next to your name inside SavvyCal, where teammates see it too. It's the same avatar as the one in your branding settings, so changing it in one place changes it in both. Links under a team use the team's avatar instead. See customizing your branding.

How do I change my username?

Your username is the part of your links after savvycal.com/. It's shown under My URL. To change it, click the edit button next to My URL, enter the new URL, and click Save.

Old savvycal.com links redirect to your new username until someone else claims the old one. See what happens to my links when I change my username.

How do I switch between 12-hour and 24-hour times?

  1. Go to Settings > Profile.
  2. Under Time Format, pick 12-hour (2:00pm) or 24-hour (14:00).
  3. Click Save.

Your time format applies to:

  • SavvyCal itself, like your events list, schedules, and the poll editor.
  • Booking pages you open while signed in, including your own links.
  • Emails about your meetings. Each person who's linked to a SavvyCal account gets their own time format. That's you, your teammates, and schedulers who were signed in to SavvyCal when they booked. Everyone else on the meeting, which is usually the scheduler, gets the organizer's time format.
  • Poll response emails you receive.
  • Slack notifications, which use the time format of the person who connected Slack.

Your time format doesn't change what schedulers see on your booking page. Their times follow the format their own device uses, or their own Time Format if they're signed in to SavvyCal.

Workflow emails format times however the email template says to. See inserting dynamic content in workflows.

How do I change the first day of the week?

  1. Go to Settings > Profile.
  2. Under Start of Week, pick Sunday or Monday.
  3. Click Save.

New accounts start on Sunday. Your start of week sets:

  • How calendars and day lists are ordered in SavvyCal, like the days in your schedule editor and the calendars in the link and poll editors.
  • Booking pages you open while signed in.
  • When a week starts for weekly frequency limits. A limit like "5 per week" counts from your start of week.

Your start of week doesn't change your booking page for schedulers. A scheduler who isn't signed in to SavvyCal sees weeks start on the day that's usual for the booking page's language.

How do I turn on dark mode?

  1. Go to Settings > Profile.
  2. Under Theme, pick Match operating system preference, Light Mode, or Dark Mode.
  3. Click Save. The page reloads in the new theme.

Your theme is for SavvyCal itself. It also applies to booking pages you open while signed in, unless the link's branding is set to always show light or dark mode.

It doesn't change what schedulers see. To set the theme of your booking pages, use the Theme setting in your branding. See customizing your branding.

Can I change the language?

There's no language setting in your account. Booking pages show in English, French, or Dutch based on the scheduler's browser language, and schedulers can switch languages on the page. See what schedulers see on your booking page.

Why is the Save button grayed out?

Save stays grayed out until you check the box next to "I accept the terms and privacy policy" at the bottom of the Profile section. Hovering over the button shows "Please accept terms of use and privacy policy." Checking the box saves your acceptance right away, and Save turns on.

What can I change when I'm working in someone else's account?

If you're signed in to someone's account through delegated access, you can change their name, avatar, time format, start of week, time zone, custom domains, and sender profiles. Your changes apply to their account.

Their My URL, Theme, Delegated Access, Email Address, Password, and Danger Zone are hidden. The account owner has to change these themselves. SavvyCal shows in your own theme while you work in their account.
